May 18 - FINE Punch Needle Texas Coaster
1-Day Class | 10am – 4pm
Smaller gauge punch needle with worsted weight yarn.
Beginners welcome. Some experience is helpful but not necessary.
In this 1-day (6-hour) beginner class, students will learn the basic stitches recommended for the Oxford Punch Needle and how to apply them to create a square Texas Flag Coaster.
We will finish the coasters either with glue and felt or by stitching the hem with a mitered corners technique.
Registration Fee Includes:
- 16” x 16” Monk’s Cloth backing fabric with pattern outline.
- 2 oz of bulky weight rug yarn (as needed for project)
Supplies available during class time:
- 10” x 10” gripper strip rug frame.
- Oxford Punch Needle. (#14, #13, #10, #9 FINE)
- Cloth and embroidery scissors.
- Needle and thread for finishing your piece.
- Sewing pins.
